I recently read an article on cnet.com titled, “Adobe moves further into Google’s orbit”. The article comments on Adobe’s mobile strategy and how it is tied to the long term success of Android. Adobe had tried originally to partner with Apple as far back as 2008 on the iphone. With the recent Steve Jobs bashing of Adobe Flash, there is now a certain amount of bad blood between Adobe and Apple. With the Android platform quickly rising to compete with the iphone, Google has become real competitor for Apple. Adobe technologies are now being optimized for Android phones and eventually Google TV.

Cool news today about the the launch of Adobe Web Fonts on Typekit. The Typekit service makes it easy to sign up and start adding rich typographical content to your sites right away. And with over 120 Adobe Web Fonts (from 16 families) now available from Typekit, you have even more to choose from. A snap to deploy, just sign up, create a kit from your library of fonts, and paste the code that Typekit provides you right into your web page.

The fact that a websites icon is automatically added to images, pdf's and flash/swf when a user views that item adds to the look and feel of the site.

It's really easy. Just name the icon favicon.ico and place that image in sites parent directory. (NO CODING NEEDED) :-)

Need any help, let me know.

What is Flash Rocks?
The goal of the Flash Rocks program is to create buzz and demonstrate momentum around the value of applications built using the Adobe Flash Platform products.

How does it work, and how can you help?

Adobe is pleased to announce the launch of Cube Builder, a trivia game that lives on Facebook and challenges developers to answer a combination of timed general trivia, logic, Flex and Flash Builder questions to earn points and build out cool virtual cubicles. Please log-on, play, and then spread the word via your social media channels. Additionally, we are putting the call out for user generated video around game play.

With so many interesting Adobe products it is hard to develop a mastery on your own of more than a few; really one of two at best. User groups like the IMA are beneficial to expanding your product awareness and proficiency. And with the IMA not only do you receive training and comradeship from others like yourself that are enhancing their skills in the Adobe Universe but you get involved in monthly drawings that give you the opportunity to win some of those products.

I often wonder how long it takes for a person that creates an extremely good piece of work to get it done. I know it depends on a lot of factors but the biggest one I think is the tools that you use. I personally know of some graphic design people, that use a mouse for all of their design work. Gasp, I know, I know … how can one, hours on end, use a mouse to draw and design with. Well if you don’t know anything else or haven’t realized the investment of a tablet, then you could be making this mistake.
