Can Adobe, Apple and Google Be Friends
I recently read an article on cnet.com titled, “Adobe moves further into Google’s orbit”. The article comments on Adobe’s mobile strategy and how it is tied to the long term success of Android. Adobe had tried originally to partner with Apple as far back as 2008 on the iphone. With the recent Steve Jobs bashing of Adobe Flash, there is now a certain amount of bad blood between Adobe and Apple. With the Android platform quickly rising to compete with the iphone, Google has become real competitor for Apple. Adobe technologies are now being optimized for Android phones and eventually Google TV. I my opinion this can only widen the divide between Adobe and Apple.
My point to all of this as it relates to designers is that a lot of designers use Apple’s computers and operating system. I would say that the graphic design world is a large part of what kept Apple together during lean times, allowing it to become the power house that it is today. With Adobe being the industry standard used in the design world. I wonder if in the future, Apple abandoned Adobe and tried to create their own suit of design applications, who would win. Would the majority of the design community stick with their Macs or stick with the software the have spent years learning. I personally would stick with Adobe. To me the platform I am running matters less than the software. I am just as comfortable on a Windows machine as a Mac as long as I am using Adobe software. I even welcome a Google operating system. As long as I can move my files between the platform with ease it doesn’t matter to me.
I am interested to see how this rift plays out. What I am not interested in is learning a new suite of design software. I am happy with Adobe’s cross product integration. Although Adobe has somewhat of a monopoly on the market, they make good products. I cring at the memory of so many products like Quark, Illustrator, Freehand and Photoshop dominating the landscape, and having to get them to all work together.

Thanks for sharing this information. I really like your way of expressing the opinions and sharing the information. It is good to move as chance bring new things in life, paves the way for advancement, etc. But it is well known to everyone that moving to new location with bulk of goods is not an easy task to move or shift from one place to other place because I have experienced about that and I face the problem like that. There I go to village near to my city faced that problem there. 412-79 braindumps// 642-971 braindumps// JN0-100 braindumps// 642-427 braindumps// JK0-018 braindumps// 640-821 braindumps// 70-562 braindumps// 70-624 braindumps//

Great topic!
Adobe is the power-house of the design world and I would also say that the OS doesn't matter so much as the software. But the concept that IF Apple came out with a design suite... That stops and makes me think.
Apple seems to love to challenge other power houses and if Adobe was challenged, I think their past approach of buying out the competition wouldn't work.
But Adobe's been leading the game for a long time and should something like that come along, it would have to be REALLY REALLY good (and require the financial backing of a company like Apple) to even be remotely a threat.
Ultimately, I think any 'flash bashing' will probably lead to something fresh and better, rather than pulling the suite away from any operating system.
