I have been using a Wacom Bamboo tablet for years. I have used it very successfully for touching up photos. When deleting the background from a portrait it is great for drawing back in those fine hairs with a small transparent brush.

Artlandia Symmetry Works is a plugin for Illustrator to help you to create nice vectore patterns. The plugin enables an option for creating patterns live from existing shapes that you are creating. This is super cool if you have any interest in creating custom patterns. I was interested in this plugin because I build and design websites. I have often wanted to quickly and easily create a custom pattern for a background and this seemed like the tool to do it.

Before I delve into the meat and potatoes of this book, I want to first commend Rockport on what an amazing publisher they are. I have reviewed and purchased books from publishers such as O’Reilly, Focal Press, and Linda.com and, while I enjoy their books, the presentation and style of Rockport’s books is amazing.
