I first want to start off by saying I was very skeptical of the ability of such a small scanner to produce any quality images or scans. Wow, was I wrong! The mobile scanner by Flip-Pal® is AMAZING! Not only is the image scan quality impressive, it has Facebook® upload integration, EasyStitch application for image stitch functionality, and 600 DPI image scan quality. The Facebook upload application and Image stitch application are accessible right off the (included!) 2Gb SD card. This is great for storing all your scans and the SD USB Adaptor (included!) makes for an easy transfer of your scans to your Mac or PC.

Now I shall take a brief moment from raving about this amazing little scanner to layout some technical specifications.

The Flip-Pal® is no larger than a Kindle E-Reader and about as thick two smart phones stacked on top of one another. The scanner has an onboard image previewer and five-way navigation to move through menus and select options within said menus. The scan button itself is large, green, and smooth to impress. Power saving options is available to set the scanner to sleep after 1, 2, or 10 minutes of inactivity; the scanner is set to 2 minutes by default. The scanner powers by 4 AA batteries (included!), so no plug or additional power supply is needed. A miniature reference manual is inside the box as well as a link (on the SD Card) to a PDF user guide on the Flip-Pal website.

What makes the Flip-Pal® unique is the window on the bottom of the unit. This allows you to flip the scanner over and scan larger images while keeping track of where to scan next. The image quality for scans is output into 300 or 600 DPI. Read-on after the closing statement for some sample scans I took demonstrating the EasyStitch application: 300 DPI images, and 600 DPI images (if you are viewing this on the web, just check out the attached images I have uploaded ^_^).

The Flip-Pal® is an amazing mobile scanner device and a must have for business professionals and designers on the move. I highly recommend this mobile scanner!
